The Obidient Movement has announced plans for a nationwide rally to celebrate the 64th birthday of former Anambra State governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi. The rally is scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2025, and will be a celebration of Obi's life and a reaffirmation of the movement's commitment to good governance, justice, and accountability in Nigeria.
To fund the rally activities, the movement has created four dedicated bank accounts, which are jointly managed by Serah Ibrahim, Ezeokoli Blessing, and John Alor. The accounts will be used to fund logistics, media engagements, volunteer kits, and other mobilisation efforts across the federation.
The organisers have assured contributors that all donations will be "transparently and responsibly managed," with regular updates on income and expenditures. This move is aimed at ensuring that the rally is successful and that the movement's goals are achieved.
The Obidient Movement has urged supporters across the country and in the diaspora to support the rally by engaging in activities within their various states. The movement's leaders believe that the rally will be an opportunity to reaffirm their collective commitment to good governance, justice, and accountability in Nigeria.
