Nollywood Mourns: Actor Big Larry Passes Away

Nollywood actor Big Larry has sadly passed away, with reports indicating that he died on Friday. The news of his death was shared by popular movie producer Stanley Ontop, who posted the announcement on his official Instagram page.

Along with a picture of the actor, Stanley wrote, “Nollywood actor Big Larry has just passed away. What caused his demise is yet to be known. May your soul rest in peace, Big Larry. Nollywood, Asaba mourns.” The cause of his death is still unknown.

This comes amid a difficult period for Nollywood, which has seen the loss of several industry figures since the start of 2024. Notable actors such as Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi’ Oyeyemi, and Junior Pope have also passed away this year.

In response to these tragedies, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) held a four-day fasting and prayer session in May 2024. The event, led by Pastor Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International, was organized as a collective effort to pray against the untimely deaths affecting the industry.
