Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a Hamas founding leader who defected and turned against the militant group, has made a bold statement on his verified Twitter account. He condemned Western voices calling for a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, referring to them as "sons of hyenas" who are attempting to save the Iranian regime and its allied militant groups from defeat.
Yousef warned Muslims, Palestinians, and those who side with "evil" to prepare for the consequences of their defeat in the ongoing regional conflict. He declared that those who sided with "evil" would face punishment, "no matter how long it will take." Yousef's statement is a reflection of his decades-long ideological stance against Islamist extremism and his support for Israel.
Yousef boldly asserted that the outcome of the current war had been "decided long before the decision makers made up their minds." He hinted at a post-war Middle East in which "there won’t be [an] Islamic Republic" of Iran and "there won’t be a ‘Palestine’." This statement has sparked heated responses online, with supporters praising his clarity and courage, while critics accuse him of fueling division and erasing Palestinian identity.
