The viral Christian song "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus, No Turning Back" has sparked controversy among believers, with some criticizing the song's style and the artist's appearance. However, renowned gospel filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, believes that the song is a move of God.
Bamiloye expressed surprise at the criticism from believers, especially those praying for revival in these end times. He noted that unbelievers are unknowingly making prophetic declarations as they chant the lyrics, while believers are focusing on the singer's appearance and style rather than the move of God through the music.
Bamiloye referenced biblical precedents, such as God using a donkey to speak to Balaam (Numbers 22:28) and the story of the sinful woman who poured costly alabaster oil on Jesus' feet (Luke 7:36-50). He asked, "Are we now limiting who God can use to proclaim His glory?"
Bamiloye warned against repeating the mistakes of religious leaders in the Bible, who criticized sincere acts of worship because they didn't fit traditional expectations. He encouraged believers to celebrate the lifting of the name of Jesus and to back the music in prayers and intercession.
Bamiloye also addressed those criticizing Gaise Baba's spiritual maturity, noting that he is still growing in Christ. He encouraged believers to pray for Gaise Baba's spiritual fortitude in the face of fame and possible worldly temptations.
