The federal government through the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared controversial entertainer, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted. The agency made the announcement on Friday via its official Instagram handle, @officialnaptip.
Speed Darlington is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking. NAPTIP has urged anyone with credible information on his whereabouts to contact the agency immediately.
The agency had previously invited the singer for questioning after he allegedly admitted during a live Instagram video to having sex with a 15-year-old girl. However, he reportedly failed to respond to the invitation. NAPTIP has urged members of the public with relevant information to assist in locating the entertainer as investigations continue.
The public can contact NAPTIP via phone (07030000203) or email (info@naptip.gov.ng) with any information that can aid in the investigation. This development highlights the agency's commitment to tackling crimes such as rape and cyberbullying.
The declaration of Speed Darlington as wanted by NAPTIP raises questions about the accountability of public figures and the need for swift action against alleged perpetrators.
