A man has shared his terrifying experience of being abducted alongside other passengers along the Kabba road in Kogi State. The commercial bus they were traveling in was ambushed by suspected Fulani herdsmen, and the passengers were taken into the bush.
The eyewitness recounted that the assailants shot the driver instantly, and he saw blood everywhere. The kidnappers then used the driver's clothes to tie the hands of the passengers behind their backs. The man was traveling with his twin brother, who unfortunately did not survive the ordeal.
The man revealed that the kidnappers collected ransom after killing his twin brother. Out of the 15 passengers abducted, only seven were released alive, three managed to escape, while the remaining five died in captivity. The man's account is a chilling reminder of the dangers faced by travelers in certain parts of the country.
The man was among those who managed to escape while the gunmen were taking them to their camp. His harrowing experience highlights the need for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
