Beloved Animal Rescuer Mikayla Raines Dies by Suicide at 29, Husband Blames Online Bullying

Mikayla Raines, a popular YouTuber known for her animal rescue work, has died by suicide at the age of 29. Her husband, Ethan Raines, shared the devastating news on social media, revealing that Mikayla had long battled mental health conditions, including autism, borderline personality disorder, and depression. 

According to Ethan, Mikayla's mental health struggles made everyday tasks challenging for her. Despite her dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating animals, she faced immense pain and hurt due to online trolling and harassment. Ethan alleged that people she knew, including those within the animal rescue community, consistently spread rumors and claims that took a toll on Mikayla's mental health. 

Ethan believes that the relentless bullying on social media ultimately contributed to Mikayla's decision to end her life. He expressed his heartbreak, asking why so much negativity was pointed at someone who was selfless and devoted her life to helping animals. 

Despite his grief, Ethan has vowed to continue Mikayla's mission and legacy. He hopes to have the support of the community to do good in her name. Mikayla is survived by her husband and daughter, Freya. 

Mikayla's tragic death highlights the devastating impact of online bullying and the importance of supporting mental health.
