Chief Dr. Fakunle Oyesanya, a renowned traditional healer (babalawo), has strongly condemned the practice of human sacrifice in money rituals, calling it "dangerous, often useless, and leading to unnecessary loss of life." He expressed concern over the growing number of young people seeking quick wealth through harmful means.
Oyesanya revealed that some spiritualists give out impossible tasks, such as "bring your mother's head" or "bring human breasts," in an attempt to deter people from pursuing such rituals. However, many youths still fall prey to these false promises, leading to devastating consequences.
As a babalawo, Oyesanya stated, "If someone comes to me asking for money ritual that involves killing or using body parts, I will tell them it's not possible. If such rituals truly worked, wouldn't I have done it myself? Who doesn't need money?" He emphasized that true success comes from hard work, patience, and proper planning, not from taking lives or following dangerous spiritual advice.
Oyesanya warned that those who engage in human sacrifice for money rituals often end up with guilt, fear, and no real way forward. Some may even become mentally unstable or face legal consequences.
Oyesanya encouraged young people to be cautious of fake spiritualists who prioritize collecting money over their well-being. He reminded everyone that human life is sacred and that no amount of money is worth sacrificing another person.
