Woman Machetes Sister to Death, Attempts to Kill Mother and Niece in Enugu

A tragic incident occurred in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State, where a woman allegedly killed her younger sister with a machete. The shocking act took place in the Aji community, where the woman also attempted to murder her mother and her sister's child using the same weapon.



The victims, who sustained severe injuries, were rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital in Nsukka, where they are currently fighting for their lives.

A video shared by local media personality, Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, on April 2, 2025, shows the suspect claiming to have been possessed by a strange spirit that influenced her to commit the horrific act. Authorities are investigating the case, and the identity of the suspect remains unclear as of now.
