A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Eliza Vega, a 27-year-old traveling certified nurse's assistant, in Saginaw, Michigan. Vega's body was found inside a home on Cypress Street on the west side of Saginaw on April 6
The Saginaw Police Department arrested the suspect on a probation violation from an unrelated case. While the suspect's name has not been released, they are expected to appear in Saginaw County District Court for arraignment this week. The police will identify the suspect after the arraignment.
Vega was a resident of California and had worked as a traveling certified nurse's assistant for about seven years. She was in Saginaw for a work assignment during the first week of April. Her death has shocked the community, and many are still trying to come to terms with the tragic incident.
