A devastating attack has struck Emichi village in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, leaving several people feared dead. The incident occurred on Wednesday around 2:00 pm, when gunmen stormed the community, shooting indiscriminately at residents.
Eyewitnesses report that terrified residents fled for safety as the attackers took control of the area. Unfortunately, no security personnel were present to intervene at the time of the attack.
This latest attack comes barely 24 hours after 11 persons were gruesomely killed in Otobi-Akpa by suspected herdsmen. The frequency and severity of these attacks have raised concerns about the safety and security of residents in the area.
